We offer comprehensive coaching to help both beginners and experienced players improve their game
Beginners
Courses consist of 4 x 2-hour sessions and are held at the following times:
Saturday mornings: From 10:00 am
Thursday afternoons: From 2:15 pm
Friday afternoons: From 4:20 pm
These courses follow the guidelines set by the Coach Bowls syllabus. Upon completion, participants will be proficient enough to join club friendlies, fun roll-ups, and club leagues
Improvers Clinics
Designed for more experienced players, these sessions focus on areas such as:
Improving line and length
Developing consistency
Exercises in reading the head
Clinics are held at similar times to beginner courses, subject to rink and coach availability. Please check the coaching notice board for updates
Dress Code
Our dress code for coaching is relaxed, but we require all players to wear flat-soled shoes or trainers (no heels). Shoes should be clean and preferably not worn outdoors, to protect the bowling green surface
Bowls are provided, and our coaches maintain a friendly and encouraging approach to help you decide if the sport is for you. During sessions, prospective members are welcome to enjoy the club’s catering and bar facilities
