Trevor Prentice RIP

We were shocked to learn today that Trevor Prentice passed away suddenly this morning at home. Our commiserations and sincere condolences go out to his wife Rosemary.

Trevor had been a long-standing member of the Club for over 33 years, first joining in the Club’s opening year, 1989. He served at various times over the years on both Management and Bowling Committees, and was currently serving as Bowling Committee Secretary, Treasurer, and League Secretary.

He was currently also Secretary of Camberley BC, Surrey County IBA Secretary, Home Counties IBA President, and had recently become a Director of the EIBA.

He will be sorely missed at this club, Camberley Outdoors, and at other levels of the Bowls Worl

Arnie Lewis RIP

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the passing of Arnie Lewis.

Arnie passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 1st June, after a long illness.

Arnie was well known and respected throughout the bowling community and will be missed by us all, both as a friend and as a fellow bowler.  He was a founding member of Camberley and District IBC, and also bowled at Watchetts BC and Camberley BC for many years.  He was Surrey County Indoor Bowling Association President in 2012-13, and served the county in various other roles, most recently as Over 60s Team Manager

Our thoughts are with his family, his son Roger, his daughter Jenny and his grandchildren at this sad time.
